*Slats are usually, but not always used on Romans that have a pattern, so that when the Roman is lowered, you can see the pattern in the fabric unbroken. The slats are slipped inside; you will not be able to see them. Blackout Lining will always be over the slats on the back.
(You may also choose to use slats on Solid Fabrics also.)
Tucks
*Tucks are a series of tucks sewn on the backside of the roman shade, which allows for easy raising and lowering of the roman. Lining will be your choice usually: Dim-out or Blackout, or none. PLEASE NOTE: We do not recommend that romans with tucks be longer than 54". If any longer, they tend to loose their stability to stay straight. IN THIS CASE, you should choose slats.
